This YouTube video was the basis of a PR and marketing campaign developed by Gray Media Services for the Brisbane South Rotary Group to raise awareness of bowel cancer and encourage viewers to get tested for the deadly disease. The campaign was a huge success with thousands of people viewing the video in the first month of the campaign alone.

This YouTube video was one of fifty clips that were created by Gray Media Services to raise awareness and increase sales of iconic Australian photographer Steve Parish’s new book 50 Years Photographing Australia. Counting down the 50 days to Christmas, members of the public from every age group and occupation were encouraged to share their passion for Steve Parish’s photography by singing their own version of the 12 Days of Christmas carol. This YouTube video was filmed as part of Gray Media Services’ Rotary Bowelscan 2011 campaign to raise greater awareness and increase testing of bowel cancer within Australia. Titled Undie Sunday, the campaign invited hundreds of Queenslanders to shake their bottoms in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest gathering people wearing nothing but their underpants.’ This campaign was a huge success, with the video further adding to the widespread coverage and awareness Undie Sunday achieved for bowel cancer across the nation.
